Yes, we do Bee work, but only in a very responsible manner.Bee Sting

First of all Bee’s are a very beneficial insect and an important part of Mankind’s food chain. They should never be indiscriminately killed. Forget about honey, pollen and royal jelly. Just imagine a world without tomatoes, carrots, onions and hundreds of other fruits and vegetables that depend on bees for pollination. Livestock also depend on bees to pollinate clovers and other vegetation that they graze upon. Bees are responsible for pollinating many crops and provide a service to the agricultural industry estimated at $15 billion a year. More than three-quarters of commercially important flowering plants need pollinators for fertilization. The honeybee is responsible for pollinating over 90 crops. They pollinate about one-sixth of the world’s flowering plants and some 400 + of its agricultural plants. Under pollinated plants produce fewer and poorer quality fruits and vegetables which directly affects availability and price. Well run high yield farms manage bees to encourage good pollination.

Colony collapse disorder (CCD) caused by the destructive effect of the virroa mite, and Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus (IAPV), the Africanization of bees and the indiscriminate use of pesticides has greatly reduced bee population which makes the conservation of our bees more important that ever.

Bees!Customers who have bees hanging on a tree or on the side of their structure are encouraged to be patient. This is usually a bee swarm and not dangerous. Swarms are a natural function of bees. Hives that have decided to move or have become too large follow a newly formed queen in search for a new location. These swarms often stop to rest or over night and are almost always gone within 24 hours. The bees in this swarm are not protecting their hive and are generally not aggressive. If you have seen pictures of bee beards on people then you have seen these non-aggressive bees selected from a swarm.

Should you experience bees entering through and opening into youBee Beard home or building its time to give us a call.
